Makeup Inspiration From ... The Stars

Celebrity Inspired Makeup Looks "For Every Bride"

Hello, Beautiful Brides!!! For my very first beauty post I wanted to focus on something that seems to be almost universal when it comes to finding the perfect bridal look - INSPIRATION!!! And sometimes there is no better place to look that to ... the stars.

Having professional makeup artists at their beck and call, these looks deserve some real commendation as well as attention. Why? Because unbeknownst to the celebrities, these looks are actually very easy to pull off. Bad for them, good for us, especially all of you bride to be out there!!!

To start though, we first need to establish some basic makeup inspiration rule: Traditionally makeup is narrowed down to three main categories; Classic which can also be identified with the natural look, Glamorous which is perhaps the most popular look where wither the lips or the eyes take focus, and Dramatic which is for the bride who is all about the beauty and wants it all. In every case, every time, you will always find these three categories in any makeup look. It is important to note though, that the Glamorous look can take on two different looks as you will see below.

How do you know which looks for you? Take a look below to see each celebrity inspired look as we break it down and help you see how you get the same look at a fraction of the cost.

***MAKEUP DISCLAIMER***  Before reading on it is VERY IMPORTANT to remember that no matter which style you choose , it is absolutely essential to remember that makeup should always truly complement you. Makeup should never cover up who you are. You want to look back at your photos with happiness, not regret.

OK... Let's Continue ...

The Classic Look

This look is for the bride that tends to go more toward the natural side. She recognizes that she needs makeup for her wedding day, but less is more. The focus here is flawless and glowing skin with lips and eyes that complement her complexion. This is for the  bride who is looking to make her whole complexion glow and no one features stands out, there is just a complete exquisiteness that makes her look one that will ever be forgotten.
Something to note is that thought his look is very natural, it does require good skincare and maintenance at least 1-3 months before your wedding day.

The Glamorous Bride

If looking to make your eyes the focus, follow the example of Adele in this picture. By using an understated pale lip, her eyes are free to take the stage. By using a strong liner coupled with two to three shades of shadow that complement your eye color, your eyes are certain to shine. This look is definitely a step above the Classic bride in that there is more of a contoured face helping the cheekbones to stand out and the eyes are the focus of attention. This look is great for women who are use to wearing a little makeup and want to step it up just a bit.

If however, you want your lips to be the focus, then follow the example of  Jessica Alba in this picture.  Stick with light shadows and a strong liner. By keeping the eyes simple, your lips take center stage.
An important factor in this look is keeping the face flawless and glowing and keeping the yes understated. By doing this your lips will win everyone over.

The Dramatic Bride

This look is for the bride that is use to wearing makeup and doesn’t mind everyone knowing it. When we think dramatic makeup many people think of Kim Kardashian. Not afraid to admit that she is a cosmetic junkie, Kim Kardashian embraces all that makeup has to offer. In addition to the Glamorous bride this look takes it to a whole new level where lashes and dramatic liner make it the main attraction, while still looking timeless and appropriate.
This look is not for the natural to minimal makeup wearer.
This look, while still timeless and beautiful, definitely is reserved for those who love makeup.

So which look is for you?

Why not explore what your personal makeup tastes are and then tailor your bridal makeup to that. Just remember though, even if you go for a natural makeup look, you will always have to wear just a little bit more than normal, especially for photography. But if it is applied well, no one will even notice.

Until next time,
Jaime
